Less one dimensional. Allow nations to attack while under siege. Implement a new type of weapon, maybe. Anything. The war module is fun but needs expanding on. Right now, it's just a battle of tanks. Why not add real tanks? Or airplanes?

Ideas:
*Make it so if someone retreats, they are now the "loser" until they WIN another battle. Having an open battle does not constitute "winning"
*Have walls last for 24 hrs even if retreated

But yes, a better war module would greatly improve the game. It would take a lot of work to work out a new, realistic warmodule, but the current warmodule is outdated and lacks variety.

I think the whole war module should be a bit replanned, because what we say when we say 'war' is that there is a big wall, and the attackers dig it, and the defenders build it. I think its hard to bring some variety to this.

Get rid of the attack/retreat/re-attack feature, regardless if more than one front is open. A retreat should be considered a loss and the region that was secured should not be able to be attacked again by the same attacking country for the standard 24 hours. Also, a country should be able to attack from a region that is not currently under attack, regardless of whether a different region of that country is under atack.

Add a Navy aspect to it, amphibious landings on countries that have coastlines and a paratroopers for invasions by air. Countries would have to invest gold to develop such capabilities and would have to spend gold to use them. such capabilities would be used for a 2 front invasion ex: If eAmerica where to invade eMexico there would be a traditional land bound invasion,(if developed)a air or sea invasion option making it a 2 front battle. 2 seperate fighting theaters in the same battle! Strategy!

I think that the advent of citizenship should restrict military action within the shroud of diplomacy. Currently, I can send every military member I have to a foreign country to support a war against one of my allies, simply because they are physically present in the appropriate country.

How can troops attack a country they are not at war with, or even allied with, nominally, and not cause either a) an international incident, or b) a voiding of previous treaties? If this is going to be permitted, there should be some in-game consequences, such as a required declaration of war, complete with the costs normally accrued by such a declaration.

How about an overhaul of training? Right now people only train strength, why not train endurance to take less of a wellness hit? Or other stats like Weaponary to get more out of each weapon you use?

That way depending on how people train themselves or how governments direct their soldiers to train the game becomes more strategic?

Chris that would completly destory all mobile forces which account for approximatly half of all national armed forces.

Also on the subject of the war module, adding tanks and planes would bring up alot of disagreement and make wars less tactical and more about having iron and money. Adding something with tactical elements and giving the wars a new dimension would be good but it would have to be done in a easy to navigate type of way.

Need more dimensions so it isnt completely relying on the population counts of city's, different weapons with different multipliers would be a good start, and a better "train" feature that vary s more on wellness housing and other stats

Special weapons for Attackers or defenders? Rocket launchers on attackers side do more damage for attacking walls but give a negative percent taken away while trying to defend. Snipers or mounted turrets would give a defending bonus but takes away the attacker's strength. Keep neutral weapons for citizens who want to defend or attack whenever but adding in these weapons would make more specialized companies and would also add a more tactical use of money. It would also make some divisions like Nat. Guard or Mobile infantry more effective at their job.

War in RL is a nasty bit of business with dire consequences, logistics, re-supply, death.
In this game this must also be considered, or just build a massive on line war game and the people who joined for other reasons can move on to a game that is more than just war.

If players or countries want to fight in wars then death of the player should be added to the system.
Counter attacks must be allowed as well, if you want to create a virtual world that resembles the real world there is lots of crap out there to choose from.

This game could be so much more than just a war game, the opportunity here is limitless and you guys are dropping the ball.

Okay how about this: add a new thing, a separate game, like counterstrike or something based on maps and real life terrains where we actually fight each other there. And if you don't feel like fighting like that, fine, instead just hit a "send bot" button to send out a bot to fight for you. Not as effective as a real human, but still does something.

And for each time you died on the battlefield your wellness goes down a bit. Just like that is right now.

I like most things about it, and I don't think it should get much more complicated than it is now. It takes a few days to understand it all completely already, we don't want to lose people to the learning curve.

The main thing that needs to be changed is how it works at a more base level. Right now if you get any 3 sufficently funded countries you can freeze just about any other country's military, regardless of how strong or populated any of the countries are. We need to make it so there can be some sort of back and forth.

Actually the ability for a defender to pay a gold fee to prolong or add hours to an engagement might benefit the other side of the world.

How is it that one can Live and Work on one continent and fight on another one? If you are going to make the choice to leave your country to attack on another country's soil, you should not benefit from the quality of your house nor should you be able to work. during a time of war, soldiers may be allowed to relocate to the new country and set up residence there - including a job assuming companies are available. But, the notion that someone in Indonesia is able to attack someone on the other side of the world and be back at home and work the same day is ridiculous.
Agreed, module needs changing. However, I thing that if you want to physically play a war game, then go play counterstrike. I do however like the diversity of training options, damage, endurance, weapons skill. That adds one more interesting dimension.

The biggest part of the war module that needs overhauling are the mechanics of it. Most people will agree they are unfair, easily exploited, not fun, not accurate, and just stupid. Before we think about weapons and aircraft and navy lets think about the actual conditions that battles are fought, won, lost, and planned with.

Add "army" into the Country administration. People can enlist in army, President as commander in chief chooses a battle in which army enlisted for the battle will fight. Add commanders, headquarters etc.

about the war what it should have is like trenches and all of the stuff there like broadcast thingy so the same but instead of digging and rebuilding what it could happen is it will go long ways so from the left to the right you can scroll. You start at the left and if you are winning then the army move forward and you see there progress by seeing how close they get to and stuff

I suggest we forget about tanks, jets, bombs and nukes and focus on the mechanics themselves.

A country that is under attack should be able to counter attack. Just as a losing nation should be able to launch an attack rather than having to wait 24 hours.
I agree with multiple stats. endurance/strength/combat skill system would work well i think.

PROPOSAL
A. Limit fight only to people residing in attacked region or in adjacent ones.
B. Make traveling cost somehow proportional to distance travelled. Specifically - make travelling to adjacent region free.

1. Players would be either soldiers or workers/entrepreneurs
2. Attacked region will get extra support from non-soldiers living in there.
3. Forming army would require people to quit jobs - as in real life
4. Sending army overseas would be expensive, would require many tickets
5. Occupying force would be required to keep garrisons in occupied land. Thus making occupation expensive business

PvP; an option to set up military training facilities where they can boost how fast someone gains strength; have the Walls last 24 hours; more realistic fighting where multiple fronts can go on at the same time so that current exploits that have been going on for far too long may not continue.

As it is right now there´s the citizens who´re fighting that want wars. The government who looses soil is the only looser. That´s not realistic when you want to go to war :P

But countries should be able to open factories to build different kind of vehicles for wars.

Be sure to stagger everything, you SHOULD make it more important in batlles, but make sure it doesnt provide it too easy for regular battles to hammer for cheap and make it disproportionate.

Iffy about the tanks, but no bombs/airplanes/nuclear/etc.
Remember, it's a social strategy game, not a war game. If we begin to focus on JUST wars and make that spectacular, we run the risk of everything else falling to the wayside and becoming simply a means to an end.
Tank could act as an movable defence/attack system.
- it could be manufactured in war factories using iron and/or gold
- it could be moved around, consuming lots of oil
- each friendly tank on battlefield would add IE 5% to player's attack (just like defence system does).

But how could be tanks destroyed, and who would manage them?

If there's tanks implemented in game then there should be defence systems gainst tanks like antitank guns or squads. And when there's defence systems there should be offence systems gainst defence systems - so it becomes countinious loop.

I dont think your aware of the vast amount of different war tactics you could impliment, also if you retreat then yes that should count as a loss (i thought this was already how it worked) but if you win a battle straight after the retreat then you should be on the offensive.

If a wall is either not secure or conquered a the zero mark for the timer, then the battle should continue for another 24 hours and NOT go into sudden death.
This prevents the abuse of the clock and the inherent disadvantage to North America of the server reset's timing.

I love the walls idea! Although, I think walls shouldn't be just for battles, but there all the time. Instead of having to open up a battle to attack, just fight for the region and build up the wall. The wall shouldn't disappear until the enemy attacks and brings it down.

What if, as far as tanks and airplanes are concerned, you make that as part of the Military Career Path??? a country would need to fund their own tanks and planes, but once you reach a certain strength or level or something, you get to decide to become a pilot, tank operator, or naval.. guy...? the navy one isnt necessary but it would open up naval wars which could be cool... So the Military Career Path would look like this:
Recruit - Soldier - Ranked Soldier - (then you would get a choice of tanks or air) Tank/Air - (if you choose Tank) Super Tank - Leviathan (if you choose Air) - Fighter Jet - Stealth Fighter/Bomber - (if you chose bomber) Stealth Bomber. ...... thats it... i think itd work pretty well...

make some regions hard to fight in. in real world we have natural obstacles like hills, rivers, deserts and so on. you can just make this possible by decreasing wellness more than 10 or for simple wars less than 10 in each single fight

Allow residents of a conquered region retreat to their own country before the war ends . Example : Kyushu Insident : Let Kyushu residents at that time to move back to their Japan before waiting until the war ends .

Consider distance in the war module. I should not be able to live in Mazuria and attack Limousin that easily. There should be traveling involved, costs related to traveling, time needed to get to the destination, etc. This would really create a strategic war game as planning the wars would be much more difficult. Defending the frontiers and holding new regions would depend a lot on the coordination. Creating alliances between Romania and China would be pointless. And the fun would be really increased!!!

Maybe add an actual military for a country. Members of the country join if they want to fight. It would make it feel more like a war and less random people showing up and shooting eachother. Also, I think the system of buying weapons and them being used up in each fight is dumb.
